NEW CLINIC IN KZN-

Women and Men Against Child Abuse is in the process of opening a new Kidz Clinic on the North Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal, this Kidz Clinic will be  launched during Child Protection Week starting 28th May 2008 and will continue to provide our free comprehensive services to children that have been sexually, physically and emotionally abused."

how we help a child after abuse will determine that child’s future and our own as a society.

“What left me quite exposed and vulnerable as a child has allowed me to connect with and feel other children’s suffering.

Child abuse can happen to children from all backgrounds, from the very poor to the very privileged. Every day in every court in South Africa, a child abuse case is on the roll. I cannot put into words just how big this problem is.

The truth is that it is extremely difficult to prevent child abuse, but what we do after a child has been abused will determine that child’s future and our own as a society. ”

“You do not choose this work - it chooses you.”

Miranda Friedmann (Director)

Hertz have sponsored a vehicle

Hertz have sponsored a vehicle for the Youth Development Programme at the Women and Men Against Child Abuse Organization, for the next 12 months. The vehicle, a zippy Cheverolet Aveo driven by Elizabeth Steenkamp, will be used to travel to various locations to facilitate the numerous drives of the WMACA.

The branded vehicle was handed over to the Organization at the end of November, just in time to help them prepare for the festive season, when crime rates and child neglect figures soar.

Fezi Vuso, Transformation Executive at Hertz says, “This particular partnership is close to everyone's hearts at Hertz. Assisting this organization in making South Africa a safer place for all children is a venture we proudly support”.
